Overview

The M.M Shah and M.V Shah Academy was founded in 1953 and managed as a private school by the Jain Education Board. Over the past 70 years, the school has firmly established itself as a leading provider of the Kenyan 8-4-4 curriculum.

In September 2021, the school decided to offer a new curriculum, and thus the International Section of the school was started.

We are driven by the belief that the International Curriculum which includes an enriching extra-curricular program empowers students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, equips students with the subject knowledge to enable them to innovate and create, and ensures students develop a determined mindset to continually learn and grow…attributes they will need to prosper in their future.

We are actively committed to diversity, promote moral responsibility as well as strive to develop strength of character within a respectful school community.

Our goal is to foster a lifelong passion for learning, understanding, and service in an ever-changing world.

We invite you to learn more about our school and to visit us. We are confident that you will leave with an appreciation for our values, our program, and our people.

We strongly believe:

  • In a holistic balanced approach to learning where an equal emphasis is placed between academics, sports, drama, music, and arts.
  • That an education curriculum should be designed to enhance at a very early age, the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to prepare any child for adult working life in the 21st Century.
  • That an educational curriculum combined with an extensive choice of extracurricular and additional activities should provide students the ability to develop new strengths, skills and pursue their interests at a relatively young age.
